GreyStone
Italcanna launches this new product line based on new molds, new materials, and the experience of rods that continue to make history... The Greystone is made with a blend of six different types of carbon, some classics, such as High Modulus carbon with a nanocomposite matrix and the precious 1K Canvas, but also new, innovative materials that we define as "increased radial resistance," developed in collaboration with valued partners and which contribute to the creation of a powerful, reliable, and lightweight structure. The GreyStone line is fitted with Fuji guides: single-leg at the top for lightness and rigidity, and double-leg at the bottom for greater strength. High-grip varnish is applied to the grip and joint areas, with the exclusive RewTaper joint (Italcanna patented) to ensure stable and long-lasting connections. In detail, we can say that the LG75 model is a slightly asymmetrical 3-piece rod, perfect for fishing with both 75g and 50g weights, with which it expresses itself with a marked tip action, thus allowing for perfect reading of the sea. The length of this model makes it ideal for all those situations requiring very long rigs or for climbing over the first wave on deep seabed where fishing on the first step is necessary. Despite its length, it is not affected by problems with wobble during the cast, thus avoiding annoying tangles on the tip and at the same time ensuring excellent casting performance even with simple movements, both with 50g and 75g weights. This is also thanks to the single tip, which allowed us to perfectly optimize it with the underlying structure. Extremely convenient for competitions as it allows for very light and targeted fishing for small fish inshore or to immediately change range and type of fishing by mounting a 75g lead. The action is certainly tip-action, but the sub-tip is immediately ready when needed, and it does so progressively and gradually, never abruptly, allowing us to tackle large fish and thin lines without risking breakage from a sudden rebound on a too-hard blank. The GreyStone LG75 therefore represents the right compromise between tip action and workability/fish management, and is light and easy to use, while also allowing excellent control over the 75g rods it easily handles. The thin tip is truly sensitive and leaves no room for doubt even for the smallest and most reluctant fish bites, allowing us to shorten response and fishing times. The 100g and 130g models are also based on the 75g model. The latter in particular stands out for its discreet asymmetry of the elements and a unique action that minimizes the feeling of lack of control over large prey, despite its unparalleled sensitivity for this weight. The range is completed by the 150, 180, and 220 models, which are recommended for weights in the 125-150g, 140-180g, and 140-220g ranges, respectively, where they best express their potential. Due to the nature of the materials and the very thin tips, the Greystone models are not recommended for extreme angled casts, for which we always refer you to specific products.
